We went on a short vacation to Maui in the Fall of 2014. Nina and I escaped to a cove on the beach while the other two body surfed with Dad a few hundred yards away. It was just her and I. She was picking the shells off the rocks as I played beside her and capturing the moment, slowly making my way with the camera without interrupting our time at play. The rhythm was perfect—a sharp contrast to how things can get around here. I'll never understand sibling rivalry, truly. It is pointless if you ask my opinion.
